High & tight…

0321091601In this tough economy it’s all about the angle you take to get a customer’s attention.  I get that.  What I don’t get is where the person’s head was when paying for the creation of this most awesome advertisement.

In my mind, there are 3 possible answers to this question:

1. They are marketing to the more “edgy” home owner who is too busy spending their weekends shopping at trendy boutiques to bother mowing their postage-stamp sized suburban yard.
2. It was crafted to appeal to the “didn’t-quite-graduate-from-high-school” types who found it more beneficial to ditch classes in lieu of smoking weed all day and watching “Dazed & Confused” over and over again under the delusion that one day, they too would meet a chick just like Milla Jovovich.  Surely, they must be high.
3. It’s entirely possible that the person who created this sign is simply illiterate and truly believed that ‘Lawns Cut’ was spelled ‘Lawnz Kut’.  If this is the case then I probably need to start drafting my letter of apology to the “National Organization of Illiterate* Citizens”.

*Isn’t it funny that illiterate is such a hard word to spell?  Even for those of us who don’t claim to be.

  1. I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that this sign was posted by someone who does not speak the English language. Just a thought.
